FOWA ( FUEL, OIL, WATER, OIL)

Basic Maintenance Secara umum perawatan di definisikan sebagai usaha atau tindakan-tindakan perbaikan yang dilakukan untuk menjaga agar kondisi dan performance mesin selalu seperti kondisi dan performancedari mesin masih baru, dengan biaya perawatan wajar/reliable. Untuk menjaga agar kondisi dan performance mesin tidak menurun adalah usaha-usaha teknis, sedangkan untuk biaya perawatan yang wajar menyangkut management. Mesin atau alat layaknya diperlakukan sebaik mungkin, yaitu agar selalu dalam kondisi yang prima dan dapat bekerja secara terus menerus dengan down time yang seminimum mungkin. Halhaltersebut dapat tercapai dengan perawatan atau pemeliharaan yang baik. Perawatan dinilai baik bila menghasilkan down time yang seminimum mungkin dengan biaya yang serendah mungkin.
